common threads and vinyl

does anyone remember these three outfits?

well, i got the long dress, royal blue knitted sweater and 70′s maxi skirt at Common Threads at the Emporium on the URI Kingston Campus. click on the images to see the individual outfit posts.

I stopped by Common Threads today and scored one of these amazings cuffs made out of vinyl records. they are hand painted by local artist, Mike Bossi. I will try to find out more about him and get back to you guys.

this one is mine. i am obsessed. oh and my peach zebra top is also great. look out for an outfit post later on today.

here is the store! the photo is a bit dated, they have added about 6 more racks of clothes. but it is a great space with awesome energy.

yay for hippie frocks!

Others reasons why this store is awesome:

1. the clothes are handpicked and are priced REALLY WELL. they are not asking for absurd money like some of the stores in Newport. every time i stop in common threads i notice that a lot of the inventory has moved.

2. common threads is in the emporium at URI, easy to get to during your lunch break between classes. less food = more clothing.

3. the staff is super nice

4. they just put out loads of HALLOWEEN stuff. today i scored: a tutu, fairy wings, pink satin gloves, furry wrist guards, awesome pink sunglasses and LED lights with a battery pack. they are all coming with me to my burn this weekend <3 and then…zombie prom fairy for Halloween?
